Nugrah
Nugrah, once a respected druid of the Green Faith, fell from grace after the death of his wife, Keirthe, during childbirth. His grief drove him to despair and ultimately to forbidden rituals, including the sacrifice of a fellow druid in a futile attempt to resurrect his wife. This act of desecration led to his banishment from the Green Faith, though they spared his life so that he might care for his infant son, who would later become the infamous Stag Lord.
Haunted by his failures and consumed by bitterness, Nugrah abandoned the teachings of the Green Faith and turned to the worship of Gozreh, seeking solace in the impassive cruelty of nature. Over time, his anguish twisted into hatred, which he directed at his son, blaming him for his misfortunes. Nugrah became a tyrant in his son’s life, subjecting the boy to horrific abuse, including beatings, abandonment in the freezing wilderness, and even an acid attack that left his son permanently scarred.
As the Stag Lord grew into adulthood, their relationship shifted. The abused son became the abuser, and Nugrah found himself at the mercy of the child he had tormented. The Stag Lord forced Nugrah to remain alive in the fort, enduring his son’s wrath and commands. In a dark irony, the once-dominant Nugrah became a victim, feared and hated by the very person he had raised in cruelty.
By the time of we first encounter him, Nugrah had become a shadow of his former self, living in the Stag Lord’s fort and crafting twisted fetishes while praying for death. Despite his wishes, he lacked the courage to end his life, existing only as a tool for the Stag Lord’s dark ambitions.
