Bokken

Bokken is an eccentric but skilled alchemist living in a modest cabin hidden among the forests of the northern Greenbelt, southeast of Oleg’s Trading Post. Though reclusive by nature, Bokken sometimes offers his services as a brewer and potion-maker, but often in exchange for other services.

His home is surrounded by scattered alchemical tools, makeshift racks of herbs, and the strong, sharp scent of brewing reagents. Bokken is sprightly, eccentric, and enthusiastic, particularly when discussing ingredients, distillations, and the various explosive properties of otherwise innocuous plants. Despite his odd mannerisms, he is earnest and deeply grateful for the safety brought to the region by the defeat of the Stag Lord.

• 28 Pharast 4710 During the party’s preparations for the Brightmarch Festival, Oleg suggested enlisting Bokken to supply herbal drinks and potions for the event. The party encountered Bokken on 28 Pharast 4710, and he enthusiastically agreed to help, but requested assistance in return. He asked the party to retrieve a batch of rare Fangberries, located about 55 miles to the south-southwest. These thorn-covered bushes are difficult and dangerous to harvest, especially due to the presence of aggressive wildlife.
