Auchs

Auchs is a towering figure of immense physical strength but limited mental capacity. Often described as simple-minded, he views the world with childlike wonder and frequently focuses on trivial things, such as toys, with an obsessive intensity. Despite his lack of intellect, Auchs is fiercely loyal to those who treat him kindly, though his violent tendencies make him a dangerous ally to manage.

Auchs’s past is largely shrouded in mystery, but it is clear he found his place in the Stag Lord’s gang because of his unmatched brute strength. His simplistic nature made him an easy follower for a leader like the Stag Lord, though Auchs likely didn’t fully understand or care about the banditry and cruelty surrounding him. What he sought most was a sense of belonging, and he often clung to physical objects - such as his collection of toys - as symbols of comfort and security.

While Auchs performed his duties loyally under the Stag Lord, his behavior indicates he was more of a tool than an active participant in the gang’s schemes. His tendency to resort to violence often led to unnecessary bloodshed, but he was rarely held accountable due to his value as a combatant.

He has a massive, hulking frame of over 7 feet tall, with exaggerated muscularity, and a broad, almost childlike face with a perpetual look of curiosity or confusion. His unkempt hair and scruffy beard suggest a lack of personal grooming, while his ragged clothing often seems too small for his immense frame.

• 21 Pharast 4710 Lizzy and Kairos encountered Auchs in a room filled with toys. Using quick thinking, they showed him jade trinkets and convinced him that other bandits were plotting to steal his precious belongings. Fueled by anger, Auchs rampaged throughout the fort and killed several bandits.

  Following the Stag Lord’s death, Auchs remained loyal to Lizzy and Kairos, bonding further after Lizzy gifted him a jade cat as a token of trust and friendship.
