Ryu is a fairy dragon who serves as Lizzy’s familiar, gifted by the archfey Nyrissa to replace Gomi.

Appearance

Ryu is a small, colorful dragon with iridescent scales and delicate, butterfly-like wings. As a fairy dragon, he possesses both draconic and fey characteristics.

Personality

Ryu has demonstrated a sharp wit and no small amount of sass. When Lizzy donned a leather cape that magically cleaned itself, Ryu’s voice echoed in her mind: “Your clothes might be clean now, but you’re still rancid.” Despite this teasing nature, he is loyal and serves as Lizzy’s eyes and scout.

History

• Session-15 (Erastus 4710) Ryu was granted to Lizzy by Nyrissa when the veil between the Material Plane and the First World grew thin. Nyrissa reclaimed Gomi, stating his purpose was complete, and presented Ryu as a more powerful companion suited to the party’s future challenges. The exchange happened when Lizzy was spiritually present in the First World while her body floated in the Material Plane.

Connection to Nyrissa

Ryu serves as both familiar and potential link to Nyrissa. His presence suggests Nyrissa’s continued interest in Lizzy’s development and the fate of Amedaria.
