Chief Grabble

Chief Grabble was the leader of the Mitflits of Old Sycamore, a cruel and cowardly creature like the rest of his kin. He had wrinkled, bluish-turquoise skin, swollen eyelids, and a bulbous nose, with a stockier build than the average mitflit. Despite his grotesque appearance, what set him apart from the others was his bond with his companion, a massive, bloated giant tick named Tickleback, which he often rode into battle. Grabble commanded the mitflits during the war against the Sootscale kobolds, a conflict ignited by Tartuk, and was responsible for capturing, torturing, and killing several kobolds, including Mikmek’s raiding party.

• 5 Pharast 4710 When we entered the depths of Old Sycamore, they faced Grabble in his throne room, surrounded by his minions and Tickleback. The fight was swift but brutal. Kairos and Lizzy worked together, weakening both Grabble and his tick companion. Grabble attempted to demoralize the attackers, invoking fear with threats of curses and retribution, but his efforts were in vain. Tickleback was swiftly dispatched by a series of precise strikes from us, and without his monstrous companion, Grabble’s fate was sealed.

  In the final moments of the battle, Kairos landed a decisive spellstrike, critically wounding the mitflit leader. As Grabble fell, the remaining mitflits scattered, leaving Old Sycamore and its cruel ruler dead, their reign of terror over the kobolds and the surrounding lands finally ended.
