Through a strong magical connection with the tree, she received insights about its past spanning hundreds of years. Lizzy experienced flashes of the tree’s memories, which became clearer as they approached the present day. She learned about a recent significant conflict around the tree and activities happening within its roots. The tree conveyed feelings of an ancient being accepting its accelerated aging due to the digging at its roots, revealing that the cave below was half-dug under the tree and half into an existing cave system.
