Kersten Garess

Kesten Garess is a nobleman from the minor House Garess of Brevoy. He was disowned by his family after a scandal involving his romantic relationship with a lower noblewoman, which tarnished his standing in Brevoy’s high society. Following his fall from grace, Kesten became a mercenary, eventually leading a group of hired soldiers stationed near Oleg’s Trading Post.

• 10 Pharast 4710 The party first encountered Kesten and his mercenaries upon arriving at Oleg’s, where they noticed the camp bearing Brevoyan banners. Kesten, particularly sullen and somewhat hostile, cast angry glances at Leonardo upon their approach.

  Despite his initial standoffish demeanor, Kesten later approached Djames, asking for the party’s help in capturing Falgrim Sneeg, a mercenary deserter who had stolen from him and joined the Stag Lord. Kesten offered a reward of three masterwork weapons (+1 Striking) if the party brought Sneeg back alive or a lesser reward of a single masterwork weapon if dead.

  Though Kesten refused Kairos’ suggestion of arming the kobolds, his dealings with the party have remained professional, focused on resolving his “problems” in the region.
