Garess Mercenaries

The Garess Mercenaries are a group of hired soldiers led by Kesten Garess, a disowned noble from the minor House Garess of Brevoy. Stationed near Oleg’s Trading Post, these mercenaries serve to protect the post and the surrounding region, though their presence has a tense atmosphere due to their leader’s personal troubles. They are well-armed and disciplined, though Kesten’s strained relationship with his past seems to affect their morale. The group’s most notable conflict involves the defection of Falgrim Sneeg, one of their members who deserted to join the Stag Lord, prompting Kesten to task the party with capturing Sneeg to restore the mercenaries’ honor. The Garess Mercenaries are loyal to Kesten, but their future seems tied to how well he can resolve his personal and professional challenges.

• 10 Pharast 4710 The party first encountered Kersten Garess and his mercenaries upon arriving at Oleg’s, where they noticed the camp bearing Brevoyan banners. Kesten has sent the party on a quest to return the deserter Falgrim Sneeg.

• 26 Pharast 4710 After defeating the Stag Lord, we prepared to report back to Kesten Garess. Among the fallen bandits was Falgrim Sneeg, who had been slain during the assault. We had recovered his body and planned to return it to Kesten as evidence of Sneeg’s fate and to claim the promised reward.
