Hargulka’s Fortress
An ancient dwarven guardpost in the southern Narlmarches, originally built to guard a trade route. The fort was abandoned long before living memory and fell into extensive decay. Kairos, who has travelled the River Kingdoms for over 150 years, recognized it from past journeys.
By 4710, the troll warlord Hargulka had claimed the ruin as his stronghold, garrisoning it with trolls, troll hounds, and hobgoblins.
- 4 Lamashan 4710 The party arrived at the fortress after Kundal and Nok-nok warned of trolls near the Sellen Hills. Kairos scouted invisibly, stealing crossbow bolts from a hobgoblin. Leonardo bluffed entry by claiming to be crossbow bolt traders in Jotun. The ruse failed when a hobgoblin smelled the stolen bolts. The party cleared the entrance—three trolls, two troll hounds, and two hobgoblins killed—but one troll escaped upstairs to warn Hargulka.
