Hexpan
Hexpan is the burgeoning capital city of the party-founded kingdom of Amedaria in the Stolen Lands, formed in the aftermath of the defeat of the Stag Lord. Named for its magical resonance and symbolic geometry, Hexpan is built along the Sellen River, at the site of a rickety bridge that once marked the edge of civilization.
Hexpan is a treehouse city, with homes and structures built into magically-moved trees. With the help of Lizzy’s natural magic, the trees were reshaped to allow elevated platforms, rope bridges, and suspended structures high above the forest floor.
The city is characterized by branched walkways connecting districts, and a large, swaying rickety bridge that spans the river, repurposed as a central thoroughfare. The city is a blend of nature, magic, and civic planning, forming an elven-meets-fey aesthetic with academic undertones
Notable Events
-
Session-13 (Desna 4710) - The Werewolf Murders Hexpan was terrorized by a series of brutal murders when two farmers—Saki and Beven—were killed by what turned out to be a werewolf. The party investigated and discovered that Eirigg, a cursed hunter who had moved to Hexpan three months prior, was responsible. He had been running an illegal animal fighting ring in an attempt to channel his beast’s aggression, but during full moons, nothing could contain the curse.
The investigation revealed that Meliora, Eirigg’s daughter (an aasimar with golden skin), had been trying to protect her father despite knowing what he had become. After a fierce battle during the full moon, the party subdued Eirigg and sent him to Restov for potential treatment rather than execution. Meliora remained in Hexpan, though the shadow of her father’s curse follows her.
The grateful citizens of Hexpan pooled together a reward of 85 gold pieces for the party’s efforts in ending the killings.
