3 Gozran 4710
The early spring wind from the wilds of the Stolen Lands lie behind us as we enter the hustle and bustle of Restov. Ahead stood the familiar stone walls of the Aldori estate, a place we’d once approached as chartered explorers. Now, we returned not as hopeful adventurers, but as proven claimants to a future kingdom, with the Stolen Lands tested, blooded, and mapped. The city buzzed with its usual life, but there was a subtle shift in how we were seen. More eyes lingered. More whispers followed. We had become something more than mercenaries and fortune-seekers - today, we enter as symbols of change.
Though the guards at Aldori Manor recognized us, Djacquess asked them to formally announce us. Under cheers of nobles and Swordlords we enter the throne room once again. Lizzy breaks protocol by wandering out of our new royal formation to greet Amiri and join her at her table. Leonardo, Djacquess, and Kairos remained in place, waiting for the official proceedings to begin.
In short time, Lady Jamandi Aldori enters and addresses the gathered nobles and attendants. She proclaimed our victory over the Stag Lord with great fanfare and declared the founding of our new nation.
Be it known that the bearers of this charter, having delivered the northern reaches of the Greenbelt from the scourge of banditry, having provided detailed maps of the lay of the land, and having done no small amount of work in the exploration of said land and in the removal of hostile monsters and local hazards, are hereby granted the right to rule. The nature and laws of rule are theirs to define, and the well-being of this new nation is theirs to protect. In accordance for providing a stable nation to the south of central Rostland, let there be a generous stipend of funds, support, and advice provided to this fledgling nation as a token of Restov and Brevoy’s goodwill, such that future relations between kingdoms might be mutually beneficial. So witnessed under the watchful eye of the Lordship of Restov.
As the room applauded, Djacquess cast Bullhorn to deliver a theatrical and amplified “thank you”, and the applause quieted quickly beneath the spell’s volume. In his booming voice, he announced the upcoming feast of the Brightmarch Festival and declared that all merchants, travelers, academics, and bards would be welcome in our lands. He closed with a promise that we would honor the River Freedoms.
Afterward, Jamandi shared news from the region:
-
Maegar Varn had established a settlement called Varnhold, and extended an invitation to celebrate with him once his kingdom was fully operational.
-
Hannis Drelev had ventured into the Hooktongue Slough. Though some early reports were promising, no word of true success had come since.
-
At Lizzy’s inquiry about the Iron Wraiths, Jamandi admitted there had been reports of battle with the Tiger Lords—but those reports had stopped some time ago.
Later, Lizzy spoke briefly with Valerie, who expressed her admiration and promised to visit us in the future. Before parting, Valerie gifted Lizzy a Juggernaut Mutagen, which Lizzy in turn gave to Kairos.
Before returning to the Stolen Lands, we made time for some shopping in Restov.

4 - 12 Gozran 4710
Our return journey from Restov to Oleg’s Trading Post took just over a week. The spring thaw had softened the roads, but the return journey felt familiar now, less wild, more ours. It seems we’ve really found our path. Though the expedition held no major encounters, there were two notable events along the way.
On 5 Gozran, we came upon the abandoned remains of Fort Serenko, a weathered wooden stronghold along the Shrike River. Long since stripped of its garrison, the fort bore silent witness to Brevoy’s growing instability. Its walls sagged and watchtowers leaned, but the bones of its design still hinted at order and vigilance. We didn’t linger long—just enough to reconnoiter the area and mark it on our maps for future consideration.
On 7 Gozran, we located the elusive Fangberry thicket that Bokken the alchemist had described. The area was as brambly and overgrown as promised, with thorns that bit as fiercely as any blade.
Lizzy cast Speak with Animals in hopes of recruiting the local wildlife for guidance. A bird responded by nearly defecating on her. Lizzy insisted this is simply the way birds greet - we’ve decided to believe her and interpreted this as a very mixed message.
As Lizzy moved in to harvest the berries, the brambles stirred—and from within, a swarm of spiders erupted. Kairos reacted first, casting Shield and slipping into her Arcane Cascade stance as she stepped into the thorns. Djames and Jet followed, bolstering the group with a Courageous Anthem.
The swarm quickly overwhelmed Kairos and Djames, though Kairos seemed largely unfazed. Jet, however, was bitten repeatedly, forcing Djames to pull him back. Lizzy retaliated with Electric Arc, frying a dense knot of spiders as they surged toward her.
Kairos countered with a Spellstrike, vanishing and reappearing through a Dimensional Assault to reposition within the thicket. Djames ordered Jet to stomp the swarm, ending the Anthem to focus on clearing the last of the threat.
Once the spiders were defeated, we paused to catch our breath and tend to wounds. The berries were secured, the area was mapped, and the task was complete.
Summary:
- Traveled back to Oleg’s Trading Post over the course of a week.
- Discovered the abandoned Fort Serenko, reconnoitered the site, and marked it on their maps.
- Found the Fangberry thicket Bokken had requested. While gathering the berries, the group was ambushed by a swarm of spiders.
Loot:
- Fangberries harvested for Bokken.
- Various loot from the spiders
13 Gozran 4710
Banners fluttered in the breeze and the first notes of music stirred the morning air in Oleg’s Trading Post. Today, 13 Gozran 4710, we celebrated the Brightmarch Festival for the very first time and brought together kobolds, merchants, mercenaries, and settlers alike in celebration of a new beginning. Tables overflowed with moon-radish stew, berry wines, and salvaged liquor from the Stag Lord’s stores. Djames performed a rousing ballad of our triumphs; Leonardo hosted a ceremonial duel; and Kairos orchestrated a quiet, elegant chess tournament beneath hanging lanterns of illusory light. Lizzy wandered from guest to guest, glowing with joy with flowers braided into her hair. There was laughter, cautious unity, and a shared sense that for the first time, the Greenbelt had a future worth fighting for.
Summary:
- On 13 Gozran, the party hosted the first Brightmarch Festival at Oleg’s Trading Post. Attended by kobolds, merchants, settlers, and allies, the event celebrated the founding of a new nation and the defeat of the Stag Lord.
