Tickleback

Tickleback is Chief Grabble’s monstrous companion, a giant tick that serves as both a loyal guardian and a symbol of the chief’s dominance. Feared and loathed by the Sootscale kobolds, Tickleback’s grotesque presence underscores the brutality of their leader, acting as a constant reminder of the chief’s power.

Tickleback is a bloated, blood-red tick about the size of a large dog. Its swollen body glistens with a sickly sheen, and its jagged, hook-like legs allow it to scuttle across walls and ceilings with unsettling ease. Its pincers are stained with dried blood, and its bulbous abdomen pulses ominously when it moves.
