Eirigg
Eirigg was a middle-aged hunter cursed with lycanthropy who became an unwilling serial killer in Hexpan. His tragic story serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of the lycanthropic curse and the thin line between victim and monster.
Appearance
In human form, Eirigg appeared as a scarred, haggard middle-aged man with the look of someone who had fought a losing battle against an inner demon. In hybrid form, he transformed into a towering wolf-human hybrid covered in dark fur, with terrible fangs and claws.
History
Eirigg was bitten by a werewolf months before the events in Hexpan, contracting lycanthropy while hunting. He fled civilization to protect others from the curse, but found the beast within stronger than his willpower. He carried a golden earring belonging to his sister, who had been killed in the same attack that cursed him, as a form of penance.
The Hexpan Murders
-
Session-13 (Desna 4710) Eirigg was responsible for the brutal murders of two farmers in Hexpan: Saki (killed while gathering berries) and Beven (a shepherd killed the following night). The party investigated these killings after being approached by Meliora, Eirigg’s daughter.
The investigation led to Eirigg’s house, where the party discovered evidence of an illegal animal fighting ring he had been running—an attempt to channel the beast’s aggression. They found:
- A ledger detailing deliveries of exotic animals (brush thylacines, a tiger, a boar)
- A bloody golden earring (his sister’s)
- A well-crafted hunting bow
- Bottles of strong liquor
When the party confronted Eirigg during the full moon, he immediately detected them and transformed. The ensuing battle was fierce, with Eirigg’s regenerative abilities making him difficult to kill. Kairos ultimately subdued him with a combination of cold iron and magic.
Resolution
The party chose mercy tempered with justice. Rather than execution, they sent Eirigg north to Restov under heavy guard, with a letter to Lady Jamandi requesting aid from Brevoy’s temples in breaking the curse. Whether he found a cure or met another fate remains unknown.
Family

Likely party attitude:
- Sympathetic to his tragic circumstances
