Temple of the Elk

The Temple of the Elk is a hidden sacred site dedicated to Erastil, nestled deep within the wilderness of the Stolen Lands. It was once a place of tranquility and worship, surrounded by lush greenery and a crystal-clear pool believed to have healing properties. Over time, the temple fell to ruin and became overgrown with vines and moss. The tranquility was replaced by a foreboding atmosphere as a curse corrupted the site.

  • 14 Pharast 4710 We learned of the Temple of the Elk through Jhod Kavken, a druid at Oleg’s Trading Post. He recounted a vision of a hidden temple overshadowed by a cursed presence. With the location vaguely described, we agreed to accompany Jhod to uncover the truth and cleanse the temple if possible.

  • 15 Pharast 4710 Guided by Jhod’s descriptions and Lizzy’s scouting skills, we found the overgrown Temple of the Elk. The structure’s once-pristine features were marred by neglect and corruption, with a massive cursed grizzly bear standing as its ominous guardian.

As the group approached, they met Tristian, a fellow seeker of the temple’s purification. His arrival added an unexpected layer of camaraderie. However, their focus quickly turned to the grizzly bear, which exuded an unnatural malice. Tension escalated, and Tristian fired the first shot, prompting the bear to charge.

The battle was intense. The bear’s immense strength and curse-tainted resilience made it a formidable opponent. Djames bore the brunt of its fury, while Lizzy wielded Amiri’s dagger, delivering critical strikes that eventually brought the creature down. Upon its death, the bear transformed into the figure of an old man who thanked us with his dying breath before crumbling into dust.

With the curse lifted, the temple awakened. The pool’s waters became crystal-clear, and vibrant greenery enveloped the area once more. We drank from the healing waters, rejuvenating their spirits and sealing their success in restoring the sacred site.
