The morning began with the crisp chill of early spring across Oleg’s Trading Post as the party readied their newly acquired horses for the journey ahead. Despite the bite in the air, spirits were high, bolstered by the promise of adventure. Lizzy, using her magical prowess, cast Predict Weather and foretold a brewing storm. Undeterred, the group pressed into the Greenbelt’s untamed wilderness, the path ahead fraught with mystery and danger. The party notes that Djames rides his horse particularly well.

The day’s peace shattered while crossing a forest, when two massive Hunting Spiders dropped from the canopy. The party sprang into action. Leonardo opened with a radiant Divine Lance, but a spider retaliated by ensnaring Kairos in a web. Kairos broke free and unleashed a Spellstrike, killing one spider.

As the first spider fell, the second turned its attention toward Leonardo, its mandibles gnashing as it lunged at his legs. Leonardo held his ground, but the spider’s sharp fangs left their mark. Kairos, swift to act, closed the gap and unleashed another powerful Spellstrike, retaliating with precision and dispatching the spider in a single blow.

With the spiders defeated, Lizzy took the opportunity to fulfill Amiri’s quest by ensuring the creatures were thoroughly dealt with. She harvested spider legs and teeth, securing materials that could prove useful or valuable. Her curiosity, however, led her to climb a nearby tree to search for spider eggs. High above the ground, Lizzy discovered a network of small pathways nestled within the canopy, along with a cluster of tiny spiders. Unfortunately, her footing gave way, and she plummeted 25 feet to the forest floor, landing hard.

The party rushed to Lizzy’s aid, with Djames and Leonardo working quickly to heal her wounds. Despite the mishap, Lizzy remained undeterred, though the group jokingly agreed that climbing trees might not be her strong suit. As Djames helped her up, he inadvertently crushed one of the tiny spiders beneath his boot.

Their efforts against the spiders earned the group 40 XP, and they pressed onward toward the nearby Moon Radish Patch, a site tied to ongoing quests. As Lizzy scouted the area, she picked out a variety of trails: kobold tracks heading east (a path they had already explored a week before, on 3 Pharast 4710), the party’s own tracks from the north, new humanoid footprints leading west, and boar tracks heading south.

Deciding to follow the freshest boar prints, Lizzy and Kairos tracked their way toward Tuskgutter’s likely lair. However, as the evening shadows lengthened, the group opted to prepare camp before launching an assault on the infamous beast. Kairos worked to disguise the campsite, Djames entertained the group with stories around the fire, Leonardo maintained their gear, and Lizzy scavenged and cooked. The wind began to pick up, howling through the trees, and Lizzy’s quick thinking helped the party find shelter for the night.

The party woke to grey skies and the distant rumble of thunder. The storm that Lizzy had predicted seemed to be drawing closer, threatening the day’s progress. Undeterred, the group prepared themselves for the task ahead: confronting the infamous Tuskgutter, a monstrous boar whose name carried fear and infamy throughout the Greenbelt.

Lizzy followed the fresh tracks she had spotted the previous day and led the party toward Tuskgutter’s lair. The party approached a hollowed-out thicket with an entrance marked by the unmistakable signs of a large, territorial beast. Kairos used her stealth and magical prowess to scouted ahead, setting up the group for an ambush.

The battle began as Tuskgutter charged out of his lair, bellowing a challenge. Kairos struck first, her Spellstrike landing a glancing blow but failing to deter the massive creature. Tuskgutter retaliated, slamming into Leonardo with terrifying force, leaving him battered and struggling to recover. Lizzy followed up with Flourishing Flora and Veil of Dreams, her magic weakening and disorienting the beast.

As the fight raged on, Tuskgutter retreated briefly into his lair, forcing the party to adapt. Djames rallied the group with Courageous Anthem, his inspiring song boosting their morale, while Leonardo tended to his own wounds and prepared for a counterattack. The party worked together to corner the beast. Finally, with precision and determination, Kairos delivered a killing blow using her Sure Strike Spellstrike, bringing the boar down once and for all.

With Tuskgutter slain, the group took time to recover and harvest valuable materials from the massive beast. Lizzy extracted its bones, skin, and meat, while the boar’s massive head was secured as a trophy. This trophy, long sought by hunters in the region, would undoubtedly bring renown and reward once returned to Oleg’s Trading Post.

Buoyed by their victory, the group turned their attention eastward, where they hoped to find and defeat a Tatzlwyrm. Following the riverbank, they came upon a natural logjam where the air was filled with a gross scent of decay. Perched on a nearby island, a Tatzlwyrm basked in the sun, its serpentine body coiled lazily. The party approached cautiously, with Leonardo attempting to communicate in Draconic. His effort was met with aggression, as the creature let out a hiss and prepared to attack.

The battle with the Tatzlwyrm was swift but challenging. Djames bolstered the party with a lingering Courageous Anthem, while Kairos delivered a devastating Spellstrike, wounding the creature deeply. The party pressed their advantage, coordinating their strikes until the Tatzlwyrm was defeated.
