Hermit’s Locket
A small, worn, brass-bound locket found in the home of the Hateful Hermit. Inside is a faded image of a young woman, her features too blurred by time to make out.
The Hermit’s home was bare to the point of austerity: no books, no scrolls, nothing written at all. The locket was the one thing he kept close, wrapped in cloth and tucked into his bedding. Whoever she was, she mattered to him.
The Map
The cloth wrapped around the locket unfolded into a rough, hand-drawn map of the region, covered in erratic scribbles and vague markings. One spot, far from the Hermit’s tree, was marked with a crude X.
In Hexpan, Djacques learned from local gossip that the “Tomb Treasure” on the map and the Lonely Barrow were the same place. The party followed the map to the barrow, where they found the flaming bastard sword.

Erastus 4710 After defeating the Hermit, Kairos searched his dwelling and found the locket and map. No one could identify the woman. The party decided to bring the locket to Bokken, the Hermit’s estranged brother, in case he recognized her.

28 Arodus 4710 The map led the party to the Lonely Barrow.
Status
The notes don’t record the locket being shown to Bokken yet. The woman’s identity is still unknown.
